Figured I would revise this thread for anyone curious. I got myself this bullets from midway, analyzed 4 rounds for corrosivness. Showed by evaluating home so it isnt corrosive, and grabbed they on the assortment. Shot a lot regarding my M1 and also have had no corrosion build after per week of sitting. Had no issues with the bullets either. Every rounded fired without a hiccup. My personal batch are March ’69. POF 69. So this items is actually GTG if anybody cares. Oh with no difficulties with the Clips the ammo is available in either. Everybody else fed and ejected like they’re meant to.
Most helpful thread on here. I got myself some because I was thinking it would be cool getting Garand bullets pre-loaded on movies. Just following the purchase I absolutely study and noticed the Berdan primed :-(, next this bond had gotten me worried about corrosiveness. Thank-you. Got mine from Midway additionally.
I recently was given 3 boxes that i purchased off a forum associate Joe who has some for sale in the Classifieds point here.
All of it try headstamped ’68 and packed in containers noted Dec. 30, 1968 (must have become preparing to earn some sounds on New Year’s, i suppose).
The ammo was, actually, non-magnetic. Its all-in good, surplus state. Certainly no tough (or better than) the loose HXP from the CMP. No corrosion on all rounds save for any usual stain and tarnish old.
Out-of 6 enbloc films, I got 2 postwar SA, 2 really obviously stamped BRW, one clipwith no marks (SA?) and something that I can’t make the characters on.Continue reading
