Spider-Man
Many movies about the iconic Marvel superhero, Spider-Man, have been made. However, we’re going back in time to the 2002 flick starring Toby Maguire. Remember that one?! However, it’s also one that comes with a few issues.
In this scene, we see Spider-Man testing out his new powers and breaking a lamp in the process. However, in the next shot, we see the lamp back on the bookshelf as if nothing had ever happened. Our Spidey Senses are tingling with this one and they’re telling us this is a glaring continuity error. However, we don’t really mind this Spider-Man movie, so we’ll let it slip.
American Hustle
American Hustle was a movie released in 2013 that turned out to be a blockbuster hit. It was nominated for a whopping 10 Oscars and won a grand total of 70 awards! Yes, 70. The all-star cast included Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Amy Adams – to name a few. It was a fantastic movie, but there was one small mistake in it.
This scene shows Stoddard Thorsen, played by comedian Louis C.K. wearing a rather nice timepiece on his wrist. However, considering the movie was set in the 1970s, it seems weird that this is the watch he has on. Why? Well, this Rolex wasn’t made until 2010. Perhaps it was his own and he simply forgot to take it off for filming. Or he’s a time traveler like so many other actors seem to be in this list.
Dirty Dancing
Nobody puts baby in the corner wearing jean shorts! It seems as though the costume department didn’t get the memo that Dirty Dancing was supposed to be set in the 1960s. If they had known, perhaps they wouldn’t have made this obvious mistake when it comes to Jennifer Grey’s clothing.
You see, jean shorts like this weren’t around until the 1980s. There’s no way you would have seen someone walking around in these in 1963, which is when the film is supposed to be set. However, it’s an ‘80s classic movie and actually a lot of the costuming, hair and makeup is all wrong… So we’ll just let it slide. We love the whole 1980s vibes anyway!
The Wedding Singer
Drew Barrymore is a walking blooper in this movie. The 1998 romcom may have cheered the hearts of many, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t riddled with errors. The Wedding Singer was a feelgood movie that sees Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler engaged to the wrong people… Only to discover their love for each other.
However, the whole film is supposed to be set in the 1980s. While the majority of that all hookupdate.net/escort-index/rancho-cucamonga seems fine, there is one huge issue. Drew Barrymore’s haircut is so ‘90s it hurts. You just wouldn’t have seen this kind of haircut around in the 1980s. In fact, the actresses‘ haircut was so popular in the decade after the movie was set, people would take her picture into the salon to replicate it.
My Girl
My Girl, released in 1991, is quite easily one of the most heartbreaking films of all time. How they thought this was fine for kids to watch and not get scarred by it, we have no idea! Starring a young Macauley Culkin as Thomas and Anna Chlumsky as Vada, the movie managed to scoop up two awards when it was released.
However, what the people handing out awards may have failed to notice is a little historical inaccuracy going on. Vada is given a mood ring in the movie, which is all pretty cool. Well, it would have been if mood rings had actually been invented. They weren’t a thing until 1975, which is three years after the movie was set.
