It was originally hosted on a website called CoffeeQuick.com from Q until 2009. The website is related to the comic on September 7th, 2000 and was mentioned on Garfield.com (alongside Dingleball.com). Superpanda of Jeuxvideo.com gave it a 5/20, and Aymeric of jeuxvideopc.com(a PC section of Jeuxvideo.com) heavily criticized the game, but did not give a score. Major points of criticism included boring gameplay, Odie constantly attacking the player and poor graphics. There are 15 rooms in the game, with some rooms being shared with other rooms.

Jon Arbuckle came from a 1950s coffee commercial, and Odie was based on a car dealership commercial written by Davis, which featured Odie the Village Idiot. Early on in the strip, Odie’s owner was a man named Lyman. He was written in to give Jon someone to talk with.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ll be disappointed when the next Garfield game isn’t this. You may read more about this have already seen Will Burke‘s disturbingGarfieldart doing the rounds on the internet. It makes the Monday-loathing feline into nightmarish beasts that torture his poor owner Jon. The OP on here is almost definitely the OP of the videos. I’ve recorded at least a hundred hours of Let’s Plays myself, so I constantly have that „backseat driver“ voice going through my head, critiquing how disengaged and dull the player seems most of the time. But in a very weird way, in a context like this, that makes it more engaging.
